After putting the pressure washer away again, cusing about dragging it back in the shed and rolling the bluddy awkward hose up has anyone got one positioned on an outside wall in a locked cabinet etc with any easy system of rolling the hose up?
So you can just go to it turn it on pull the hose out and away you go!
Advice appreciated. (y)

My effort.
Othertimes the powerwasher lives in workshop and connects to stainless steel pressure lines leading to farmyard or my house for washing patio
I had a supply of used stainless pipe so made use of it. I drive the pictured tank to house and unload the pipe, connect to hard pipe and wash.
Othertimes I drive tank with washer sat in front rack to conviently placed 3 phase sockets around poultry site.
3 phase washer makes life complicated, but its so much more powerful its worth the trouble

Think I am going to fix mine up outside, boxed in. Open lid, allowes diesel fumes out, switch power and water on. Pull hose out of an expensive but worth it retractable hose reel and away you go!
As David said the easier it is to use the more things get cleaned off! Sometimes you only need it for 10 mins, takes as long to get the blessed thing out and put it away!

Mine is in locked internal part of workshop all ready to go but with a switch, a tap and reel on the outside wall. everything you need, except the lance, you have to ask for that! You will prolong the life of a washer 10 fold if it doesn't move and gets drained down properly.

Ours is mounted ontop of a Ibc. So we can put it inside when frosty. It also doubles as a drain jetter, so need to be able to take it to fields. Just lift it up ibc with pallet forks. Also needs to be mobile for pressure washing/disinfecting cattle courts and grain store. It's also been used as a mobile sprayer! Put it in grain bucket and spray steep banks and top of silage pit. Saves getting stung by nettles when covering silage pit.

Mine is kept in an old coal chamber outside and brought in in the winter. And this reel felt like an indulgence at the time but they seem to be a bit cheaper now and it keeps the hose tidy and keeps you motivated to use it. You can always add another pressure washer extension hose if you need more hose less often

Thanks, (y) I've seen an auto retractable one around £300! But I might sod it and treat myself!

Now Then..
We have a Karcher hot washer and it lives in a corner of a lockable yard other than when it's frosty. The previous one was in a purpose made hut but this one is bigger and doesn't fit. We have about 40' of hose on it and we just try to keep it 'tidy'.
It's in constant use all day for washing machinery or just parts. The weather (other than frost) doesn't bother it. I could do with similar at home..

We’ve been lucky. Our 3ph sits in the old milking parkour all year.... might get an old coat thrown over it when it gets very cold and that’s it. Pipe 30m plus I guess is pulled in down one wall inside out of the way. Have 3 old pipes that got a bit spiky to handle in reserve so can link up with 3/8” qrc for 100m nearly if you’re man enough. Handy for running the sludge pump round the yards in winter for unblocking drain holes and dirty water troughs.

We used to have ours in the old milking parlour with it pretty much set up to go come to think of it, the pipe you could drag in out of the way. That building is used for something else now and not in the best place for pressure washing any more.

Ours was padlocked to the floor in a open fronted shed .made it handy and stuff gets washed more when you only have to switch it on.i locked it down years ago after finding it in the middle of the yard one morning.someone had dragged it out then left it .they must have got it out and seen it covered in pig muck and thought it wasn't worth nicking.
