The front linkage on my MF uses an accumulator for shock absorbing, but the diaphragm has failed, so I was wondering who would sell a cheap 0.7 l ready pressurised one. If they're not available pressurised. are there companies around who'll do this for me?
I needed two accumulators for the front axle of a case tractor here 6 mths ago, i priced them in a few places that id deal with re hydraulics but when all was said and done they were a lot cheaper from the manufacturer than anywhere else i could get them from, lead time was something like 6 weeks too.
the accumulators needed had an internal thread as well as an external one, the internal one was for a restrictor so as she wouldn't be like a nodding donkey when youd be driving the tractor, it was the internal thread that was leaving them dear even tho both were a hydac unit's.
also, the pre charged pressure wont be easily determined, it may be within the serial numbers stamped onto the accumulator itself but your not going to know what it is because it wont be on its own, or normally isnt at least.
At first I thought that I would get one from a factor selling a cheaper line, but like you the original makers Bosch -Rexroth was available off the shelf for a good price.
The pressure was engraved on the side, as luck would have it, and as it was a standard pressure - 80 bar - my supplier put one straight down on the counter.
Thanks to the others who replied to my query.
The hitch was from the days before MF made their own (I forget who did) and used a Bosch one, and my supplier sold me one from Bosch with a large discount, making the price equal to a no-name.
If you get stuck again with any hydraulic issues and need some answer give Shaun at versatile hydraulics a call on 07412 812930 and tell him Wayne gave you his number.
