Prime Minister gets it wrong on prorogation.

All this media hype about feelings and language in Parliament yesterday is rubbish!
I watched it and I wasn’t upset or in the slightest bit surprised in what was said.

It was obviously going to be a “let’s try to trip up Boris” debate.

I thought Both Boris and Gove handled it very well.

I even thought Bercow behaved properly!

I'm all for maintaining the standards of acceptable parliamentary language. 'Surrender' etc... Is not unparliamentary. Laura kuenssberg was lamenting late last night that yesterday marked a change in the tone of parliament. Well, if a change in tone is needed to bring this thing to a head - then so be it. The sanitised parliament of TM was extremely dull watching anyway.

Sadly the type of reporting has done nothing but illuminate the tone in the commons yesterday. Political reporters have a habit of “dramatics” which sometimes is quite fun and others a bit lame. I don’t think anyone watching the debate or even parts of it needed telling about the temperature. Whatever Boris can get in a deal even if it was one which Parliament would have agreed earlier in the year, they will vote against it. In fact I’d go as far as to say Parliament is in a far worse state of anger than the country. Therefore maybe it’s time to “put up and shut up” let’s have an election with each group clear on their position on Brexit and let us decide. Note; this of course may result in no clear majority but we have really got to move on! Boris was right yesterday when he stated the blooming obvious that all this wrangling in Westminster completely undermines the negotiations we are trying to conduct in public! I felt like waking into the chamber and telling them what a poor show they are putting on and to grow up and get the job of governing back on track. Many in that chamber have lost the notion of the word governing. What a bunch!

I don't think a GE will solve it because a GE is not just about Brexit
Or are we saying that nobody will vote for a party unless they agree with every little detail in their manifesto ?
the question has already been asked in the form of a GE anyway

I think BoJo was waking on the very thin ice of acceptability. But definitely fell though by suggesting that the best way to honour the memory of Jo Cox was to get Brexit done, was nothing short of crass in the extreme. Then subsequently dismissing the worries and concerns of other female MP's over their personal safety and that of their children as "Humbug" must be on the verge of condoning these threats as acceptable.

My own view of the Jo Cox situation is that tragic as it was and in the light of the fact that Leave won, even she would have seen the sense of getting Brexit done now.

No sane person, be they Leave or Remain would condone what happened to her, but neither would any sane person believe that what did happen to her should prevent the majority will of the people

More fool the idiot for raising her name in a deliberate attempt to further smear Boris and well done him for dealing with it in the way he did.

If your poke a hornet’s nest, expect to get stung!

If our Politicians would do as they were asked and promised to do, then they wouldn’t get the threats against them that they do.

YOU may not like the tone but the message is right on tune . Remainers Surender Act .
They now say the are going to lock Boris up if he moves to take us out .
I agree and that’s as an original remain voter! The country decide otherwise so we need to get on with it ideally with a deal of course. This has become personal now which is dangerous territory.

Regardless of the rest of your post, I think the first sentence has no place here. Recruiting a dead remainer to the cause of 'getting Brexit done'. I find it tasteless (that may just be me) but it certainly adds nothing to the rest of your argument

The grammar school girl who heads the supreme court.
https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/ar...al-web-snared-PM-ANDREW-PIERCE-Lady-Hale.html
LADY HALE: Graduated top of her class with a 1st in Law from Cambridge. Professor of Law at Manchester. First woman to be appointed to the Law Commission. Only the second woman to be appointed to the Court of Appeal. President of the Supreme Court. THE DAILY MAIL: Ex-barmaid
Well done Lady Hale. The Richmond high school that she attended was merged into a comprehensive with Richmond Grammar school for boys and Richmond Comprehensive some time after she had left. An excellent recommendation for grammar school education which is no longer available simply because it puts the more intelligent 11 year olds at an advantage. This is all thanks to previous labour governments who liked screwing things up and the present shambolic Labour party who wish to further the cause.

Shame on you.
Jo Cox should never of been mentioned at all.
The really shamefull thing, was remainers recruiting their dead collegue, to goad and frustrate the Prime Minister, during QUESTIONS ON HIS STATEMENT TO THE HOUSE, that was consequently high jacked.
