I would love to hear a recording of his 'gaffs ' but I suppose some of them are ,in these days, 'politically incorrect' !
there are some on youtube but to be honest, they are not gaffs just misunderstood humor, a great chap he once commented about something being done by the Indians what he was referring to was it wasn't a cowboy job i like the one when entering Australia the customs chap asked him if he had a criminal record he replied is it still necessary

Exactly, not gaffs at all just a sense of humour ! It’s all about context .

Buckingham Palace has revealed Prince Philip’s bespoke electric Land Rover hearse ahead of his funeral. Years ahead of Tesla founder Elon Musk, Prince Philip began designing the EV (electric vehicle) with Land Rover in 2003, making the final adjustments in 2019.

The vehicle, based on a 130 TD5 Land Rover Defender, will be used to transport the coffin of the Duke of Edinburgh from the state entrance of Windsor Castle to St George’s Chapel.

It is a project that spanned 16 years, with Prince Philip making changes including requesting a repaint in military green.

He also came up with the open top rear and special ‘stops’ to secure his coffin in place.

Although it is not the Sandringham gun bus that some hoped, designed by the Prince and built by Land Rover gun bus specialist Foley in Essex, it reflects Prince Philip’s love of the Land Rover marque, which he has driven since the vehicles first became available after the Second World War.

I like the one's about ann when someone tried to kidnap her he said my god they would have their hands full, or words to that effect, also if it doesn't fart or eat hay ann isn't interested
That last one I was told referred to the Queen, not Ann. No matter though, probably relevant to both.

If its a Landrover then they better have a backup plan prepared.

Today in 1953 the Royal Yacht Britannia was launched .

Would it not be great if it was announced in this particularly tough week for Her Majesty The Queen if plans to build another and named The Duke Of Edinburgh were announced?

The Canadian gov’t has ordered and named 6 ships for the Navy and two for the Coast Guard, one of which has not yet been named. There’s a group petitioning that it be called ‘ The Duke of Edinburgh’.

I think you'll find he developed it as a shooting vehicle and JLR have actually made the rear conversion for the funeral.
