Problem with Krone vario pack

I would be very great full for any tips as we seem to be struggling to get the dealer out.
The problem started with the control saying "wrapping process" during mid bale when it wasn't wrapping. I found that turning the unit off then on again allowed normal work.
Then today it was saying "not catched" when actually I could see it was wrapping. Not so simple but I did about 100 bales getting out each time and cutting the wrap.
Then mid last bale we got "bale chamber open" which I can't make go away by cleaning sensors re plugging connectors ...
Any tips great fully received as lots of grass to bale these next weeks

Can you swap the door sensor for another from some where else?

I used to have a Vario pack, and now have a Combipack 1500 (same baler, but with a wrapper)
I do know my way around these balers a little, but unfortunately for the O.P. i have never had any electrical issues to broaden my Krone experience.

Unfortunately @kill 's suggestion of swapping sensors wont work as they have different part numbers and are different sensors to the others on the baler.

When you do get a operations error message stuck on the screen, pressing the horn/alarm button twice should clear it and bring you back to the normal operating screen.
I think i would make sure you have a very good electrical supply to the control box, then i would simply buy some new sensors and set them up carefully as described in the operating manual.. They are not expensive as i remember.

Pondering some more...Using the manual, you can enter a diagnostic screen which tells you the status of the sensors, and so you should see which side door sensor is playing up.

If you have no manual, go online to Krone UK's website home page. on the top boxes under 'services' go to 'media-center'
then go to products and select round balers, then under that 'prior series' then select Vario pack. In the adjacent Documents section you can chose Operator manual and down load it to print yourself...All for FREE !:)

Thank you for that(y)
My neighbour has the same baler and had a similar problem. Actually it wasn't the baler but the power supply from the tractor, so the first thing to try out shortly.
I do have a manual; I haven't come across a diagnostic page - I will look further. Thanks

Well, the diagnostic helped find out that actually a door sensor did have a broken cable. So fixed that. But the original problem is still there, the test doesn’t sense the wrapping sensor at all and I can’t see any fault with it, so the dealer is coming Monday morning.

I guess my biggest problem is the fact the dealer is 60km away, if they were just down the road like my dealer for other equipment then it’s easy. Trouble is, i like the baler, so not keen on changing make

Your dealer should be able to sort that no problem , or is it de riguer en france

This is bringing back bad memories for me, I did 30k bales with one many years ago, the net wrap system has two sensors if I remember rightly, and when the net catches on the bale one runs faster than the other.

I had the exact same problem with it saying that the net hadn't caught when it had, it was a sticky bearing in the net wrap roller so it didn't run freely enough to register a difference in speed of the 2 sensors. I also think it might have been a bearing that only runs in one direction (sprag bearing?), and was probably fitted inside the pulley at the end of the rubber roller.

Interesting. Thank you.
