Problems with 7.5% biodiesel inclusion in red diesel

Have had a fuel drop last week and am struggling like mad to get it out of the tank at a sensible flowrate. Apparently biodiesel inclusion rate has gone up from 5% to 7.5% since the start of October.
It is an absolute nightmare . New filters are only lasting one day . Am trying to source a centrifugal separator with no filter element to put in front of the cartridge filter.
Anyone else having problems?

Have you complained to your supplier? What did they have to say?

There is lots of systems on the market and years ago when Stoneleigh park hosted The British biofuels event you had your pick of bio filtration granuals towers to uv light pass screens to filters etc etc.
The Marine chandelier stores are well uptodate with bio bugs etc when Agri fitters etc.think it's a joke or something?
This Forum will help you with their wealth of knowledge and practical ideas.
Think Diesel is B10 now so 10% inclusion in line with past policies etc.
Plastic storage tanks the worst as a conducive atmosphere for the cob web and frogs spawn type bug grows on the fuels moisture interface ,plus crap and water allegedly comes with fuel too???
You got to keep fresh fuel, clean tanks ,drain off water or water traps ,clean out tractor diesel tanks ,new inline filters and big diesel filters and add tonics for prevention into tractor tanks.
All old or older rotary pump engines run well on even B100 fuel (100% bio diesel )
Trouble is Government ,emmissions, engine managements and egr and ad blue, teir 3 ,4 ,5 set ups etc etc that don't like it ,the engines are ok with it.
Progress they call it?
Whats wrong with grow your own osr , for your own fuel ?
Fry your chips in it and then turn into fuel?
RME (rape methyl Ester) Fuel ,best fuel you can get.
So goes back to a field of oats grown to feed the horse to pull the plough to put more oats in.
Same think happens with osr.
France and Germany got no oil under their land so all comes from above ground ie osr or canola.
The cyle continues.

Are you only having problems getting it out the tank ? ,Or have you problems with it in your machines ?

Take it this GTL stuff doesn't suffer from bugs and has better lubricating properties so no need for additives ?

Correct. As it’s already a “green” fuel there’s no need to doctor it with bio and hence no need for bug additives. It’s got higher energy density than either EN590 or A2 ULSGO so the theory is that machines drink less for the same output

It’s also an “all season” year round fuel as the cloud point and filter plugging points are better than winter grade.

The disadvantage is it’s only marketed via Certas and only certain depots stock it, so if your far away from a stocking depot then you will pay a premium.

What is the premium?

Got to use a bit to justify when a "tonic additive" for under £20 a tank (2000ltrs)full would justify same.
Yep. Good to have alternatives though, and the cost/hassle/lost time of changing plugged filters or getting rid of the bug and having machines on stop is worth considering. Also not having worry whether you’ve got winter/summer grade left in the tank next cold snap.
