If its the painter mans own business now amount of H&S red tape can stop him. if he is an employee thats a whole diff can of worms

i dont know if it is mind iam just making assumptions !!!
oh there is lots of things when its your business & you do the jobs that certain H&S cant touch you with
not saying thats right or wrong of course.
If you hurt yourself doing a job wrong are they gonna fine you ???? think about it.

Have to say that I was a bit miffed at seeing that - more that they included footage of it happening.

Happens a surprising amount even on proper telly. Ed China on wheeler dealers uses a grinder with no guard on it.... madness, Kevin McLoad on grand designs stands on roofs with no rails etc. (no real problem with this but in this day and age a no no I think)
I completely agree that these people should set the standard of how to use common sense.

Have to say that I was a bit miffed at seeing that - more that they included footage of it happening.

I was amazed that even when he was wearing a respirator he wasn't wearing any eye protection. Those paint particles in the air surely can't be good for your eyes either!

Think the down draught system negates the need for eye protection etc. After all the camera was in the booth the whole time and never seemed to get any paint on the lens

Fair enough. I don't really know much about spraying.

Whilst the downdraught system helps, it's not perfect & no substitute for proper use of PPE.

The roof is a work of art. Just got to be up close to see it
