What about driving another pump with the existing oil supply? Does the current system hold enough oil that the extra pump could be connected into it to avoid fitting another tank etc? I'll admit to knowing nothing about Xerions, just throwing ideas about.

Do you need the pressure that you have, or do you need the flow more?

That’s just what I was thinking!
It may cause a lot of heat though.

A quick Google says that you can fit a additional hydraulic pump to give up to 75 gallon a minute flow . If two separate circuits it would mean that the load on one circuit wiuldnt affect the other.

It’s more flow we need.

We would need another tank, another system altogether if we fitted another pump.

That’s not impossible and I’m not averse to doing that, but I’m going to see what happens Monday once the gps is all fitted.

I doubt a magic spell will be cast and everything is A1, but we won’t fully know what we need to do until then.

So I’m not as daft as I think then, because I suggested that too. Unless we are all daft!

The tractor should be supplying 190 litres per minute, but the book is lacking any details so we don’t know if that is total for steering etc as well as auxiliaries. If it should do that just for auxiliaries then we have problems because we can’t get more than 110, even with two lines plumbed together with the engine nearly flat out.

@lexion780tt has messaged with an idea though which could work. (y)

You're going to mound a hand start lister donkey engine on the back just to drive the spinners aren't you?

I reckon @Kevtherev s bike will be strapped to the back and cycling like hell to power the discs? I’m right aren’t I

110 litres should be enough I reckon, are your spinners direct driven or have you still got the belt box? If you still have the belt box then go direct just as the big A is ( I think ) the belt box must use a bit more power when driving it hydraulically as it is really for pto drive.
