Oh yes, done about 800t with it so far, but the weather is holding us back terribly.

All seems ok, it’s lively and doesn’t even know it has a load on which is good.

Looks like it’s been topped to create the gaps, but they seem unnecessarily big?

I know, it does look just a tad out of place. But it will hold over 10 tonnes and I will confidently be able to do that knowing the tyres will carry it and the chassis can take it.

I’ve never needed more that that.

What weight could you put on her, is she rated for a max load?

I think they can carry 15 tonnes, but on my job it will total about 12 tonnes.

Speaking to a guy the other day, reckons the company he works for have Xerions, one with a 35 cubic meter tank on it, fully freighted it weighs 70 ton! I still don’t really believe him.....could it possibly weigh that much?

That will be with a trailer tanker using the 110mm swan neck ball coupling. Not surprised at 70t when full

Yes you could well be right, I didn’t quiz him on it, as I was too shocked by the weight of the thing! He did make it sound like it was all on the tractor, but it’s probably physically impossible? I think the machine he was talking about had been at the farm we were on at the time, but had been taken away as it had gone wrong.

Hybrid seed production the chopped bits are taken out after pollination so as not to contaminate the seed they do it with rape, maize and now wheat, swathing is used to evenly ripen the seed,
