what about a 15 to 20 degree swivel left or right for the spreader body with the size and weight of the machine i don't think it would affect the balance of it on the field and sort the spread problem

Taken from soil essentials on Facebook, did you see this Pete.View attachment 836419

They are a superb piece of kit. I was lucky enough to have the first demo unit in the uk in my yard 18 months ago. The design and components are fantastic.

I would have loved one and seriously considered it but after speaking to many customers they said similar things to @Chae1 about the lack of big tyres.

I’ll be keeping a close eye on it because I still haven’t ruled one out. I may be the first with a Xerion spreader but I just didn’t feel I wanted to be the first with the Tatra, even though the brand is well known and the truck concept used elsewhere.

I I think I was told it could be fitted with a different diff to get bigger tyres on the rear, which would help, but it’s the front that is the sticking point because they need to turn for steering and bigger tyres fowl on the bodywork.

Brilliant machine though, absolutely no doubt.

Update?

Since mid October she’s hardly turned a wheel and I doubt she will in the whole of January either.

Apart from that, tickety-boo
Really sorry to hear that Pete. You've worked bloody hard on this and been gracious enough to share with us the highs and lows. I've really enjoyed this thread, and a lot of your other contributions. Wishing you all the best with it for the coming year.
