My guesses are:
Van only appears to be secured by straps on the front wheels
Insecure loader due to the use of straps instead of chains and not positioned to adequately secure the loader in the event of the trailer tipping over.
May require C1E or CE licence category depending on how the towing vehicle is registered.
Not referred to in the tweet, but carrying the van probably ought to be done on white diesel.
The rig belongs to someone we know and it was stopped as the driver didn’t have the right class of license. They were given two hours to find someone with right category or have the vehicles impounded. Luckily a family member had an artic license which is what was required.

pete , what door height setting do you run for around 1000/1200 kg ha 0 1212fibro
k60 spreader
thanks

I have a K85

I would have the door at around 10-12 cm for that rate. You want the belt going a good speed. The faster and more steady the belt goes the more accurate the rate will be. If it’s going very slowly expect to be scratching your head as to why the rate isn’t correct.

You'd have to ask the five O their reasoning. I'm just repeating what was told to me by the son of the owner who is with us at present. His Dad who has a Class 1 had to rescue it before it became a bigger issue.
Logically you would think they could of dropped the trailer off to be collected by a tractor leaving the spreader to travel on its own

I really like it, thank you for asking.

It’s powerful and smooth, very capable. It has everything I need and nothing I don’t need.

We are part way through making the troublesome electronic central tyre inflation system into a manual system and I’ve had the machine measured up for uprated rear suspension springs. It was capable before and I’ve had no bother, but when it’s fully laden it sits down about 3” lower at the back than the front, which could have obvious affects on spreading pattern.

So I’m just doing a few tweaks really, just to get it right. The basic machine is cracking.

Obviously we haven’t really had it running on tender land yet after a wet spell. The smaller diameter tyres might let it down a bit, but for those odd occasions I still have the Big A, so I’m fully kitted out.

So far, I’m impressed and wish I had bought one 7 years ago when I first looked at one.
