Been to Moreton’s Tyres this morning then on to the sign makers.

I think singles. I asked about duals but without going into too much detail it wouldn’t really work for all situations.

We can get a 750/45 22.5 under the back and put the 600 existing rears on the front.

Jon at Moreton’s asked why I want to change them at all because what’s on it now are a very capable tyre, but I want it on the best we can possibly get right from day one.

I did consider the possibility of changing the rear diff and going for a 750 26 of some sort but if I’m honest I can’t run to that expense just now. I will give that some thought when we have to change again.

An important fact to consider is that the tare weight of the Zetros is nearly 8 tonnes less than the Xerion. For all it’s weight, the Xerion on 800/70 38s travelled very well on worked ground, and in theory the Zetros should tread lighter on the ground. If I find that not to be the case then I’ll be a bit disappointed.

For really tender ground I’ve still got the Big A if that’s what customers prefer.
