Yes it does sound similar, different source, but essentially taking a very finely ground lime, from a suspended solid in water to a spreadable product.

well it will never dry out, thats for sure, but mixed with water it spreads fine, 70G stays suspended in 1L of water without much effort, its got the feel of flour, so washed it all over a nice big rush patch on a shaleclay field and will watch for change. Water read 12ph on litmus and 5g of slurry disolved 100% from cloudy white to crystal clear with yellow dust in 40ml of sulphuric acid... no lime left.... now thats what I want.

Down side is the supply is ad hoc and in winter just left to run out on the floor.
