The queen won't allow it, I dont think she wants to be the one who gave the green light for the descent into armageddon!

Confirmed by Boris now apparently.
Her Majesty can't stop it.
The only option left for the Wets now is to call a confidence vote which will lead to prorogation and an election anyways.

She will because she will have been asked privately first and agreed to it.

Its not like HM can stand in the way of an elected representative anyway.

But I'd bet Charles would try it.

As the law and Constitution (of Parliament) stands... the Queen does not have to do anything, either way. She could dissolve Parliament now. She is, by convention, likely to follow the advice of the Privy Council, as advocated by her Government.

Dominic Grieve was on 5 live ,said on air he would rather bring down a conservative government than support no deal, the irony that he has spent the last three years using every trick in the parlimentary book to prevent us leaving hopefully will not be lost on everyone that voted to leave,it might even focus the minds of a few EU prime ministers. to get something sorted to the benefit of every side,i fear the EU leaders are so arrogant that they would rather see every one suffer rather than be seen to give in to the UK

Breaking news: The Queen will prorogue Parliament if asked to do so. (says a journalist)

Which is hardly surprising... as mentioned earlier in the thread, the PM will not have sprung this on her.
