Protech post knocker

I know there’s been a few threads on Protech in the past.
Just debating which model to go for really. It’s just for our own work, but we do quite a bit and have a lot to do over the next 5 years. Currently hire a Bryce and that puts in big telegraph pole gate posts/strainers very easily. Just want to make sure I can get these in the ground easily enough with a Protech. Can’t stretch to a Bryce unfortunately. Currently getting a price on a P230s. Will this be sufficient? All our grounds pretty easy going to be fair. Thanks very much

Yeah, get telemast and 300kg weight and itll be fine. Telemast means you can hit a long strainer properly at start rather than having to tap it down first meter to get thumping properly.

Yeah got a p230s I use for contracting. Have a rock spike and 300kg weight and haven’t had a problem so far. Also only run it on an 80hp Deere so the hydraulics aren’t the quickest but it’s sufficient.

Just to piggy back onto this thread instead of starting my own, what weight hammer would be best? See some smaller ones with 130kg and 180kg weight, would they do strainers or does it need to be 300kg?

Get the biggest weight. No problems with gate posts then. I've got a 300s, not found anything better
