We are just awaiting delivery of our new grain and fert drill and are planning on how is best to protect it from granular fert. The hopper and metering/delivery system are fairly well protected anyway and arent too much of a problem but having seen a handful of threads regarding which products are best for protecting paintwork I was wondering which is actually the best/most popular. As I say its mainly for the exterior paintwork but would maybe give the hopper a coating of something provided its not going to cause everything to stick to it. Was thinking of just spraying with waxoyl. Any thoughts??

I tried waxoyl on the fert spreader and found it left a sticky residue that dirt liked to stick to and it did not come off that easy either.
