PSIMat Pressure washer pump

A good while back I was given a large pressure washer with a Brooke Crompton 2.2kw electric motor. All it needed to get it running was a new contactor. It was a proper job with a lance to match that had recoil about the same as a magnum 12! Mo markings on it but a PSIMAT ???/70 pump with bronze valve heads.
I loaned it to a mate about 5-6 years back & there it lay until earlier this year he told me he hadn't used it for a while & the valves were knackered - leaking everywhere. Remembering the quality motor & valve block I told him not to chuck it , but bring it back. Single phas e 2.2Kw motor & contactor is definitely worth keeping...
Anyway, having taken off the valve heads there are no seals remaining & matey couldn't remember what they looked like when he pulled them out :banghead:
Valves themselves (6 the same - inlet block shown in piccy) seem fine & pistons are in good shape too -there's a separate grease cup for each - seem to be stainless running in bronze. Apparently PSIMAT are long gone, but does anyone know
1 What type of seals are fitted to these pumps (tried O rings but not with success - perhaps diameter is critical?
2 A source for the correct seals. given that the pump ID is only visible as PSIMAT???/70

If you google "PSIMAT???/70" you come up with a couple of pictures of a PSIMAT H4/70 does it look anything like yours ?
Not much help really though, as you say looks like the company is long gone, I knew someone who would have been able to help but sadly he is no longer with us.

Yeah it's vaguely like mine but no close-ups of the pump to see exactly, but when working it was a beast of a thing. It's definitely too good a quality item just to scrap, though the outer case is only just intact, the innards are fine except these pesky seals. If only I had one of the originals I'm sure I could find or make something to fit.

Might be worth trying some large diameter orings.... 90 shore are harder too. Could try exchange engineering for advice, usually helpful.

Doesn’t look familiar from the pic u have Uploaded. Perhaps if you post a picture of the complete pump, someone may be able to assist.

Thanks - that Interpump view is quite helpful - the valves look broadly similar, except that on mine they are mounted in a set of three in the valve block, as opposed to the Interpump where each valve is separately capped. Based on that schematic it looks like a double O ring per valve may be the way to go.

When you mention “recoil”, has the lance a bend on it? Even a slight bend on a straight Lance will make it kick. Old pressure washer salesman trick ;).
A 2.2kw motor is only around 3hp, so i wouldn’t expect it have a massive flow rate Tbh.

Yes the lance does have a bend:) I was comparing the recoil to the domestic type small Karcher I had been used to, I suppose at the end of the day 3hp is only 3hp.
Must have been 15-16 years back I got it - used it regularly for about 5 years. I used to hose down an old Lada Niva I was using to get about the bogland that passes for my fields. My mate borrowed it about 10 years back then - doesn't time fly when your old? It only seems like last week it was 1985:(

I have just bought a "Landy" (Lambert & Dyson in Yorkshire) drain jetter, and I found them an exceptionally good company to deal with, so they would be my first port of call even if they don't sell that make they may be able to either advise on where to get one or sell you a valve block to fit instead.

Many thanks to SPECK Pumps, who not only took the trouble to send me a drawing of the actual pump, so I could identify the seals' part number, but also sent me FOC the correct O ring seals! I am much indebted to you Neil (y)(y)
Now if it stops raining enough for me to be able to get the cows back from where we had to move them first thing this morning, I may be able to get the old washer working again. Cheers again, Neil at SPECK Pumps.
