PTO or mini mobile stone crushers?

I’ve often got small piles of rubble to crush, bringing in a big sod is 2k a go after haulage and A days use.

Red rhino offer mini ones which I am curious about, has anyone much experience in these or PTO driven units? Quite fancy buying one and selling on in a few years once we are done.

Tracked mini every time.
The PTO ones aren't too bad either but they're definitely not as nimble as the tracked ones and the tracked lady should have a better resale value.
A bit of horses for courses.

A contractor had a Red Rhino mini on my yard a few years ago, to crush concrete we were ripping up and having relaid, he had terrible trouble with it as it didn't like material that wasn't 100% dry. Any dampness and it just gummed up.

Another contractor doing the same work last year had one that went on the front of his telehandler and ran off the 3rd service. Worked really well. Not sure what make it was but very similar to this one:

Speaking to someone who had a red rhino, said it was ok but so slow, almost 2 man job due to jaw size.

Bucket crusher to slow and v fuel thirsty

Looking at a medium sized as haulage isn’t so savage

Depends on the Red Rhino model and the size of your rubble. We've had the 7000 model on hire and it chews through bricks blocks and kerbstones and similar size rubble. Anything bigger tends to lodge in the jaws. We fed it with an 8 ton digger with a bucket to match the size of hopper on the crusher and we trickled the rubble in off the edge of the bucket. Sounds slow but if if you can keep it going you can get through a lot. If you are impatient and heap the hopper the chances are that a kerbstone will bridge across the jaws and you'll have to clear it. That will really slow you down.
