Would any one know where i could get a 1 3/4" splined pro shaft about 400mm long total to cut a keyway in it and a couple of bearings on it for a saw bench modification thanks
Lely mower drive shafts were similarWould any one know where i could get a 1 3/4" splined pro shaft about 400mm long total to cut a keyway in it and a couple of bearings on it for a saw bench modification thanks
i can find new ones but mostly 1 3/8 and very short about 9" but need longer to get 2 bearings and sprocket in middleLely mower drive shafts were similar
Would it not be easier to take a whole drive shaft assembly, pully, bearings and all to do the conversion. No idea, just a thought.i can find new ones but mostly 1 3/8 and very short about 9" but need longer to get 2 bearings and sprocket in middle

I just fancy having the bearings a little bigger and not taking to much meat out of the shaft with cutting a key waypto spline one end ?
all the ones i find 350mm long and are 1 3/8"

We.found a second hand shaft to keep our mower going and I repaired this 1 one rainy day after
You are a star for taking the trouble to measure it,But if it has been repaired and i need to have a keyway milled in it i would probably look for a complete one to be safe so over to you @Bob c but thanks anywayIf you want it for a mower I'll tell you now and @Forever Fendt it's been repaired .in the second pic up from bottom it snapped right where the jaws of the caliper are and I drilled both bits out and made a dowels, shamfered both broken edges and welded it back and turned it back to size .
