What’s the best way to refit the hinge plate below. Used thunder bolts on the others and they’ve not moved.
Many thanks

Now you say it, it’s obvious. I was over thinking it. Thanks for the replies.
Yes but just one hole and bolt right through and big washer or plate the other side if poss.for strength and only on the top hanging, then the other 7? Bolts Cut the rawls out and replace with stainless threaded no head bolts and chemical fix , ie resin .
Its Much easier to place correctly and in the right position.
Heck of tool 8s that stuff has transformed what I do with fixings in masonary/ concrete etc(y)

would that resin work in a cavity wall which is plastered, thus I have 2" of block wall and 3/4" of plaster to mount into.

I was thinking as follows, 12mm hole, 10mm threaded bar and put a small slit in the end and open it a small bit, this should help it stay in the wall, then plenty resin around the threaded bolt and let it set for the length of time it says on the tube.

Finally mount my fixing

Or maybe I could use a regular rawl bolt and coat it in resin before I put it in the wall.

Any particular brand of resin is recommended

Depends what you are hanging , 3 foot door fine , 12 foot gate, may last a day. You will need a decent wall to hang that on

its a bracket to latch a gate rather than hang a gate into, it will have cattle pucking it however for 30mins once a week or thereabouts

I think my wall is sufficient to hold up my bracket, however Im wondering will the chemical anchors mate to 50mm concrete block that is in a cavity wall.

this is some of what ive used ,
Fischer FIS VL 300 T Vinylester Resin 300ml | Injection Resin | Screwfix.com
suitable for use externally is the key for me for that one ,seems to have worked very well.
chemical fixing needs clean dust free hole .

can you not drill and push a bolt right through the cavity and through the other side as well with one long bolt /threaded bar like the op then just use resisn to hould the other(s) fixingbolts in their holes ?

actually
ive used it to hold fixings in plasterboard into cavity then a bit into the block beyond ,not right through in that case , buit it was only to hold up a curtain pole..😂

yes use resin on the 'through' bolts /bar as well ...for belt and braces effect on them , of course that's a given i thought.

its surprising how far it goes , one tube , just needs a few extra nozzles bought ,which are availiable unless you save on them a mix with a nail, trouble useing that method you got no nozzle to poke in the hole and inject with.

do all yer moving and adjustments fairly quick mind , else its gone off hard
