Pulling a low loader... what tractor?

Pulling a JPM twin axle low loader, (hydraulic brakes) with 16T Hitachi and buckets so shes fairly well loaded.

What tractor would you pull it with?

Something below 30k, would prefer something you could put a spanner to fix rather than a computer.

I had thought:

JD 6920
JD 4755
Tm155
Mf 6490

You’ll be overloaded anyway but the jd tm or Massey will do the job.
Thought tractors could only tow 13 ton diggers ?

I’ll bet a 16t hitachi actually weighs closer to 17-18t on a weigh bridge, plus the buckets! lm pretty sure the gross trailer weight will be well over the 18.29t legal limit.

What’s the trailer plated to?

Axle bearings won’t last long in a jd6920 running at that sort of weight.

Your budget and hours on the tractor might make the decision for you took me ages to find a new tractor to pull the volvo

Yer trailer be about 9 to 10 t ?
In that case you can only pull an 8/9 ton digger legally on the road and even then it will depend what you intend to do with the digger, it will need to be agricultural work if running on red, ground works for a new shed or silage pit for example would be classed as construction not agricultural.

Forgetting the legalities, if your trailer weighs that much, something capable of moving 25 ton plus, Even at 30k you’d need 150 hp plus and wouldn’t want to see too many banks.
