Pumpkins herbicide

Have transplanted out my pumpkins and watering them in today. Been harrowing weeds last few years to mixed results. I've read flexidor and kerb can be used over the top. What rates and in a mix together or just pick one? How late can you apply over the pumpkins? And are squash the same? Much obliged.

Don’t do it, negligible results and more chance of damaging the pumpkins than the weeds.

Flexidor Isoxaben Crop application .25 l/ha max (full rate .5 l/ha) before 3 true leaves

Can impede germination on drilled crop

Kerb flo Propyzamide Crop application .468 l/ha max (full rate 1.88l) before 3 true leaves

Can be phytotoxic at ¼ rate and impedes germination plus non activation if dry.

DO NOT mix them together!!!!

😮😮

Crikey. Ill leave gamit alone so. I'll finish watering them in and go with the flexidor on its own so. Seems to hit more my weed problems in that field of chickweed and fat hen and shepards purse.

I'll leave the kerb alone then if it's troublesome. These are all transplants.

Thank you woodylane. Much obliged.

I've done 3 way mixes for the last 4 or 5 years
Flexidor at .5/ha but very expensive and won't work very well if conditions are dry
Kerb at 1.8l
Gamit 150ml
Worked a treat one year when the soil was damp and then raised again after application
Last few years been very dry so chem probably wasted. Better off with a good shim or spring tine before they meet in the rows then handpull remaining weed.fathen always a problem

this was the advice I was given for drilled pumpkins but looks like big John has had experience of transplants

Gamit only hit thistles and cleavers so I think I'll leave that out. I'll try the kerb and flexidor with a wetter and some deflan some early morning. No rain on forecast when you want it.

Thanks for assistance.

Sup or rain coming Wednesday morning. Will give it the beans then. Some plants be at 4 leaves but I'll chance it.
Similar here, can't see the point doing it until there is some rain. Soil is like dust at the mo.

edit: rain forecast for Weds seems to have disappeared and no rain in the forecast except for a bit of mist on Saturday.

We had some rain last night so I'm going g with that gamit kerb flexidor mix now. Will transplant more tomorrow then and rain forecast here for Sunday. Have more still in tunnels.
Been a tramp of a year here. All sorts of problems growing them in my tunnels. Have replanted twice. Left me v late but you never know.

I sprayed the gamit and kerb and flexidor in a few different situations and timings etc

Best result by far to be actually excellent was a pass of roundup a week ahead of transplant followed by the kerb and gamit and flexidor 3 days ahead of transplant.

All other efforts a full waste of time and money.
