After some new wellies, what are people's thoughts on themo plus?
I find muck boots lack grip, & aigles are the work of the devil, so thought these may be worth a try.
Plus they are available in yellow,& fetching orange!
Cheers

Sliding all over the place today in cheap dunlops due to rain, nearly went arse over t*t several times. Need some wellies that keep me warm, dry and upright! I usually buy mens wellies as I need them to come high up my legs, womens wellies dont even come to mid calf, what is that about? Suggestions that will not break the bank please!

are we talking about the big chunky ones or the more normal sized ones?

I have both- the big chunky ones are very good for the very cold days, but to lumpy and heavy for day to day use.
the others are good all year round, seem pretty long lasting as well.

Yeah the big chunky ones.
Want them for general use really, concrete, field use & tractor driving, had a broken foot a while ago, anything with a thin flexible sole agravates it.
Need to be 13/48 not all makes go this big.

If only lowa made wellies.

They are brilliant, wear them all day in winter and they are comfy and strong. If anything slightly heavy but that is more than offset by the comfort. I too broke my ankle playing hockey and need a good strong boot, these are the kiddies.

Bekina are very good and have a higher slip resistancy rating than Dunlop plus can tolerate a higher resistance to lactic acid. If it's warmth, safety toe and slip you're looking for, two of the best are the Bekina steplite safety or the grubs work line with 5mm neoprene. Without safety toe, the regular Bekina steplite, bogs rancher or regular grubs frost line are all warm, grippy and comfortable boots. Lots of great technology being developed and some amazing boots will be available in the next 12 months.

Never tried the thermal ones but I wear the ordinary purofort wellies all day every day and I like them. Current ones are a couple of years old at least, in daily use, milking, sheep, driving, mucking out horses, gardening ..... I could go on. And on. They're reaching the end now, the soles are getting thin but they're like slippers to wear.

I tried a pair of these on at the Dairy Event two years ago. Thought I was gonna have to get the fire brigade out to get them off!! Never even considered them after that.

I use lighter Puroforts for summer. Got a pair of Bekina steplites for when it turns cooler, nice and light but warm. For proper cold spells Muckboots are great, EXCEPT for shocking grip. What's that all about? Why don't they just sort the sole out?

the pair I got were £20 and they were awfull I thought, mybe my feet are just too use to nice comfy warm wellies. I gave them to my brother while he was home on holiday to use as they were brand new he handed them back the next day said he would just wear a pair of boots.
