Push Notifications?

I don't want to be bothering with push notifications all the time coming through in every topic I'm watching so haven't allowed it on Android seems really annoying!

Exactly why we offer the option to turn on / off. User preference - some like them and others hate them

I really fail to see the point of this. It seems like a light-version of auto refresh. Something that was really usefull and one of the best features of tff.

Because lots of members asked for it. Its a lot more advanced than the old system, that kept a script running permanently in the background eating resource especially on low band width connections. It also caused numerous errors as well.

We are just testing a version of an auto alert, but since the old one couldn't be updated it has to be tested from scratch.
