Put a value on this FYM please?

Strawy outdoor chicken muck.

Per ton averages are:

11kg N
12kg P
7kg K
4kg Mg
5kg S
Ca 17kg

and a pH of 7.8.

I'm trying to decide whether it is of value to cart this 12 miles with tractor and trailers (17 tons in a trailer but wet) for about £50 hr versus buying in some lime @ £30 ton, some phosphorous and maintenance K. I use it on one block of land and it is great for crops but not sure on economics of driving it

are you removing your straw from your crops.
its going to feed your soils more than just fibrophos and lime, as you could put just over a load a acre on.
0.12.12 fibro phos to us in 146 spread if memory is right.

Very much so I’d say, make fibrophos look rubbish .

I already use it on one block of land and it is great and yield enhancing. My wonder is can I make it worthwhile to cart further. Could end up a decent bill for tractor, trailer and fuel. I have toyed with artic but we reckon probably not worth it unless going further.

Maybe I should use my two 10t trailers find another driver and cart it myself but a tractor, man and trailer at £28 isn't so bad considering tyres etc
