Do you think America would just sit on its hands if Hawaii voted to leave the union and form a trade alliance with China. I think not, they would be quickly educated in democracy.

The Germans were told pretty clearly the boundary for expansion in the future after the war, and they crossed the line.

I don't see a lot of difference between the US annexation of the Hawaii and Moscow's annexation of Crimea. But Moscow certainly has no legitimate claim over western Ukraine but it could possibly over the eastern half, as the Ukraine was always basically two separate countries.

Possibly, but how much propaganda do we get from the UK or even the USA?
One of the things I learnt when I went to the USSR in 1991 was the perceptions that we were lead to believe more often than not were false. While not perfect, but never underestimate what they can do.

Interesting splurge, impressive setup in a hostile environment, both politically and climate.
The most challenging thing is how to get your money out, in a convertible currency, at the end of it. Or preferably before the end!
