Putting a large roller shutter door in the end of an Atcost Shed.

Got a 45' span Atcost shed we are looking at putting in a 20ft wide x 18ft high roller shutter door in. Has anyone done something similar?
My lines of thinking would be to remove the two concrete end posts and replace with two steel columns, tying into the rafters with a bracket similar but stronger as shown in the photo? Would this be strong enough?
Would bolting these replacement columns down via a large base plate into the concrete floor be sufficient? At the moment the concrete columns are sunk into their own foundations as such.
Any guidance would be appreciated.

Think @neilo was doing something similar unless I am guessing wrong 🤔

For a 20 foot door it needs to be insulated which gives it rigidity and strength, from experience we had two ordinary r/s and the wind constantly blew them out of the tracks, if they tell you that wind locks will stop that don’t believe them.
On our new yard we fitted a total of 14 doors all 20 x 20 and all insulated and we have never had one blow out in the wind in 20 years.

Ah interesting. Like I said on the previous message I have purchased the doors second hand (although like new) so was looking on fitting them. we have insulated panelled doors on other sheds and never had a problem, so this didn't cross my mind. The wind isn't too bad given it's location. Just wanted to do this as cheaply as possible! It never seems to work out that way!

He’s doing mine too, after a local recommendation. Very knowledgable fella and ‘proper’ way of doing business.👍

From near Wigan, he’s been to do a site visit (& measuring) in West Wales, will be coming back to fit it once we’re ready, and still at a very reasonable price compared to others.
Travels all over doing doors, even down as far as Cornwall.
