Some tractors need them on to make the suspension work well.Almost as brain dead as those who just leave them on all year round.

Errrr
I used my dead brain to make a front press/front weight
Weights on for cultivation, weights off for swath rolling
Dead easy to lift with the front links though ?
My other Deutz k430 tractor has both 10x40kg wafers, or a 600kg block made from bolted together zetor wafers that's lifted on with the loader tractor (which has front links, pictured above)
I tend to throw the wafers on more often than the block, but maybe I like the exercise [emoji849]
I lift Ford 10 series weights on and off with a sling through the handles takes 30 seconds
Can hover them to line up hole never had a problemdon’t you have difficulty getting them lined up correctly on the carrier though to drop the retaining pin in to stop the weights sliding sideways and off the side of the frame ?

I've a couple of pairs in the hoard.Nearly did you buy a new set of links or did you manage to find a s/h set? I’m looking for a set for an 8340
