Putting net into Welger RP 202

I am putting net wrap into a RP 202 for the first time. I wanted to know how you pull the net through the rubber rollers. Any tips? I've seen this video several times, but it didn't seem to answer my question. Many thanks.

Just turn the roller by hand but most importantly pull back and lock the knife bar before turning the roller or you'll be needing some new fingers!
That did cross my mind, however I can't seem to find the knife lock. I'll have to have a look in the day light. Thank you for your help.

Mine's missing a knife lock, you can tie it up - or stick a bit of wood in there to stop it. it won't trip suddenly, you'll see the triangle making its way along the little gear wheel to where it trips - but the consequences might be pretty messy if you aren't paying attention whilst turning the rollers!!

Knife lock will be just where it is shown on the video…may not look exactly like that.
Excellent Video….do what it says and the BALER will work.
A new knife is pretty cheap and probably one of the best things to do to ensure good net wrap application.
As soon as you see raggy ends on the net have a look at the knife.

Is the net the right way?

Looks like Tama Edge to Edge (good net, that). You need it the other way round, thin stripes on the right (of the machine)... goes up the back, over the back bar, under then back over the springy bar and back to the rollers. Can take a pic of mine if you're stuck, it's in the yard and I'm doing the VAT so any excuse to get out welcome!

It's coming off the roll the right way

Put it up the back of the bar that it's just laying on top of just now then put it round the bar you've got it round already then over the foam roller then in between the rubber and steel

The bar you've got it round wants to be sitting straight up to put tension on it . You'll find a hole at the far end that you put a oin through yo hold iy out the way while you put the net in

Just look at the bars the paint will be worn off

Sorry I beg to differ - I always put it in like that then wondered why the lock on the left side was pulling the wrong way and I had to cable tie it! Then I really looked at the sticker... roll wants to be pulling anticlockwise from the end in his picture...

Welger net goes up the back as he's got it but will work either way

Crappie drawing but should be roughly like that

Just looking at that and going from memory but does the roll not go behind the second bar(rear one) then come forward and under the front bar then back to the rubber roller? I know I have got caught out by it on occasion.

In relation to the stripes is that the right looking from the front or the rear?

Think we all agree about that... I'll go and take a pic of mine in a minute... and the sticker - unless he's worked it out by now!!
I put at least 1 pallet of net a year through mines it doesn't matter what way it comes off the roll as long as it's round the bars

Best place is wrapped round the bale alright but nothing as annoying as watching the net continually running in and the knife not tripping :banghead: net too expensive now for that to happen

Yours must have a different lock for the cone end to mine - mine's quite old, a RP220 - if the net's going round the wrong way then the cone lock comes undone... I'm only doing a couple of thousand a year not pallets of net... plus I've got a bale unroller so it helps being consistent cos then you know which way the bale's going to unroll on the handler!!
