Putting time aside to just enjoy

As everything now is about covid or the fact the world's going to end if you have one more sunday roast, what do you fellas do to for fun, something to take your mind off all the doom and gloom.

Enjoy spending time with my nephews (12 and 4) and niece (6).

Coming on here of course & love doing drystone walling which is something I hope to do a lot of when I semi retire. I'd like to work with new stone & do some features ie planting areas for gardens, curves atound drives etc.

Time with the kids, can be as simple as a bit of cooking or diy, if they’re interested and learning, then I find that is really rewarding.

The ultimate goal is to get them properly into the rugby so watching all of 6 nations super Saturday in one go becomes a family event, and as such, permissible to the domestic activity nazi.

It sounds boring but I bought a huge crossword book at the weekend and I sit in my big chair on dark evenings in front of the stove solving them. It takes my mind off all the rubbish that’s going on.

Messing about on a bike, with a sandwich and a flask of coffee is just brilliant. Forces you to concentrate totally on something other than the daily sh£te , takes you to some amazing places and costs little really. I’m lucky to have the marvel of mid Wales nearby…… bloody love it

I’m working the real job 2pm to midnight at the moment. So tinker about with drains in the morning. Have a lot of issues with roots in junctions after a crop of kale.

At least if the end of days come I can tell the big man my drains are in order.
