PV Meter reading fluctuations

So I have a meter which was fitted when the panels went up. They, I think the amount of KWh produced.

I then have a smart meter which I thought, told the cloud how much energy has been produced.

These two are only out by a few kwh each month, can live with that.

I then get a monthly email form said company with kwh produced, income received etc. this is out by 500 - 2250 kw a month.

any ideas? :scratchhead:

use rbeesolar for this service.

So you have a smart meter that registers your incoming supply and you have a sloar generation meter that registers your solar generation?

Maybe the smart meter is registering your "exported" electricity and the loses you think you have are units consumed on site?

Your smart meter may be registering import and export.
Your solar ( FIT ) meter will be registering production by the panels and is the only legal basis for you to be paid FIT on.
If this is domestic or sub 30 Kwp install then you will be paid for units (KWH) registered produced at the FIT rate plus 50% at the export rate, irrespective of the actual units exported

Thanks - it's really made me think now.

The fit meter only measure panel production .

The smart, I thought was more about monitoring rather than import data, company has gone bust, will try one of the ex employees and see if they can help
