PZ drum mower oil bath ?

just bought an old fransgard drum mower im going through , all pretty good so far , is there supposed to be any oil in the bath on top the drums , or is it sealed bearings on the drums, i assume there should be some to oil the cross shaft if so wondered how much to put in thanks

Should be gear oil or PZ used a thick semi fluid type grease in there.
On a fahr I think from memory there was a measurement in handbook of oil level using a steel rule in the oil fill hole.

thanks will put something in then , wasnt dry but just a thin layer in bottom , no filler plug thats why i asked , the fransgard is a later pz clone (almost identical to the old square headstock one ) only to be used as a spare anyway, im keeping an eye out for a newer vicon / krone one to replace the old pz for hay
