PZ haybob deflector gates

I need to buy some new deflector gates for my haybob because mine have had it!
looking around on eBay and the like, most available seem to be ’New style’ though I’ve found the odd one which is described as 'old style'. What’s the difference please and are they interchangeable anyway?

ive always thought I had the 300 but I suppose it’s possible I’ve got the 275. Again what’s the difference and as above.... are parts interchangeable.?

Finally I need a new pto shaft for it as well (inc plastic guards etc) does anyone know dimension and spec. Obviously 540 both ends but a previous search on here revealed a waltersheid slip clutch version. Is it really necessary to have the slip clutch.

sorry for the barrage of questions....

Don’t know about interchangeable gates but they are available here. https://www.agri-linc.com/pz-zweegers-haybob-gates.html You could always ask for dimensions. They would also supply complete pto shafts.
A slip clutch is included on implements as protection for the drive if something mechanical goes wrong. Eg you drive too close to a fence.
A shear bolt will also protect the driveline.
An overrun clutch on the pro shaft allows you to disengage the drive and the implement slows down gradually without putting strain on the tractor pto clutch.

Post a picture of it and we'll be able to tell you which model it is.
The clutch is there for a reason but a careful operator with a low horsepower tractor will never hear the clutch slipping so could probably do without it. Waltershied shafts were fitted originally but other makes are available for less money and should be fine for the occasional user.

Only time really needed here is when making a square edged flat windrow for the round baker. Both rotors in spread mode. The gates keep the windrow edge neat. If rotors in rowing up mode or you want to spread then not strictly needed, in fact best removed to save wear on them . On ours turning the nylon blocks raises or lowers the tail end of the gates and so gives some adjustnent.

If you kept the gates on when spreading and closed the outside one a bit the first time round, the grass would stay away from the fence posts!
