Quad bike air filter full of fuel

I've bought a second hand Honda TRX 350, it hasn't been used in a while and the last service date on the air filter box was 2016, but I did see it running before I bought it. I've just brought it home run it around the yard once, when I've gone back to it the engine would turn over but not fire, I have to admit I reved it for a while whilst fiddling with the spark plug. When I opened the air filter box fuel was coming out of the air filter.

Any ideas? Is the carborator gone? One of the screws on it is stripped so couldn't get in to have a look.

Float could be sticking in the carb and letting the fuel run straight through. To save taking the carb apart try a blast of air down the fuel hose from the tank. Sometimes a bit of debris stops the float seating and the air will shift it

The 350s are common for it, try cleaning carb and fit a new needle valve but sometimes you can’t stop it leaking and it’s a new carb, but they are not that dear

Took the carb apart its was full of green petrol and white mould, running better but have now found a few other issues. Good job it was cheap
