Quad bike running costs

Hi All

Would some of you kind folk on here be able to give me an approximate idea of how much per hour to run a quad bike? I know it'sa piece of string but some kind of ball park figure would be useful.

One of the biggest running costs is fuel if it’s a petrol quad. Gone are the days of the 300cc big red.

Our last quad cost 16p a mile depreciation (Bought for £3k and sold for £1500 9000 miles later). The new one costs £15 a week in fuel apart from lambing time. That’s as far as my costings go, as I aren’t walking round the sheep before I do my off farm job, the quads cheaper than taking time off work to walk round sheep

Are you buying a bike new? What's its value? Do you intent to sell/trade in/replace after X years? Do you know roughly its fuel consumption?

Your question is very open ended and without the above its impossible to give an answer

This is the real killer... new bike comes Monday and I'm sad to be going back to petrol

It is not for me asking on behalf of someone else. Second hand about 3.5k and they use about £20 per week fuel. I just wondered if there was a book figure like some tractor operations.
