Then I use a couple of different booms depending on the job. Either a 3m with standard nozzles like this:
Spray Booms
Make better use of your sprayer with one of our range of spray booms.www.spraytech.uk.com
Or a x-boom for upto 9m wide like this:
X BOOM
Quite simply a revolution in spray application. This wet boom will cover up to 10 metres in width in one pass!.The nozzles can be independently switched off allowing the operator to spray on one side or the other or just with the centre jet. This makes it ideal for spraying track-ways or land...www.spraytech.uk.com
Whole lot was about £650 5 years ago but looks like prices have shot up, so I doubt you’ll find much for £200.
Using similiar here too.
Some cheaapie Chinese stuff on eBay but longevity is moot.... The issue is pump and as @warksfarmer points out, booms for different jobs.
My old tank and fixed 3m boom is ages old, but the twin diaphragm pump on it now, probably cost more that the original whole setup!
The X booms are not cheap either. I am not sure I am sold on them, but they aren't half handy to throw herbicide under a panel...
