Quads have no diffs?

Not being funny but that just doesn't happen.

I assume you have a quad? With a solid rear axle? How many times a day do you crash into your gateways?

I've never done it myself because I've more sense than that but I've seen it happen to the uninitiated.

We've 5 quads at the moment, and a 3 wheeler.
I can handle them just fine, don't you worry yourself.

Ide say it was just a final drive but will be solid rear end, it will have a front diff lock. Unless they have changed them
The diff lock is only for the front differential. It needs to be a diff, else you couldn’t steer.
Yamaha refer to the rear final drive as “drive shaft” on their parts diagram. It has a crown wheel and pinion, and the rear brake discs are also inside the housing.
Some parts companies, like all balls refer to it as a rear diff when you are buying seals and bearings, but their is no diff in there, both driveshafts connect directly to the crown wheel.
See parts diagram below

That's what I was getting at though :) You don't cash it every day, because you learn to control it. And most people won't even think about it after a few hours experience driving one.
Partly where my comment came from was because I hadn't even thought about how you get a quad through a tight loose corner... I just do it, haha

Just like all machines really, there's a knack, some grasp better than others.
Most folk drive, but that doesn't make everyone a good driver... (and if the Mrs reads this, I wasn't referring to you my dear...😯😊)

Both of these have lockable rear diffs.
The Kawasaki used to have a rack extender and we’d load it up with 2 bales of hay on the front and 6 on the back. It would have been near impossible to steer without the diff unlocked.
