I was having this discussion with my workmate yesterday. Blokes over here pull quick attach frames on their 3pt hitch(3 hooks and with catches supposedly faster??) Idk Maybe before someone made hooked lower 3pt arms?. The only advantage I could see is that it makes hooking the imperment more of work out before you sit down!

I find if you stand on the lift arm and go up and in helps. I'm a fat b#stard.

I did get stuck between the drill and the back wheel one morning when adjusting slack adjuster on lift arms in the springtime and had to call my brother to rescue me. 🤦‍♂️
don't stand on the bloody lift arms, i still have a 6" scar from slipping off years back.

It's only way i fit in! 🤦‍♂️ 🤷‍♂️

Hydraulic toplinks a heavy hoar of a thing and need close in to support it.

Just an excuse but as fert spreaders and mounted sprayers getting bigger manufacturers are trying to mount them as close to tractor as possible for balance.

how do the big lads get fert spinners and sprayers on and off tractors ?? im a short arse and still squeeze pass back wheels to get a amazone spinner on and off, not an easy task as not as fit as i used to be !!!!!!
Hydraulic top link is your friend, i reverse in and hook up the lower links then turn round on the seat and reach out the back window to drop the top link into place, then just lift up and drive forward extend top link right out and lower spreader to the ground leaving plenty space to get in and connect pto and hoses.

We (sulky) have sold 2 machines to my knowledge purely for the reason stated by the opp! Strange as the french are all skinny! One customer had a rival machine and the large driver was hanging out back window to connect pto up!

ALL the Cat 3 linkage gear here ( mainly row crop / summer crop / furrow irrigation gear ) is attached using quick hitches. EVERY higher horsepower tractor with 3pt linkage has a quick hitch on it.
Would never consider any other way of doing it.
I have 2 x 12 metre 3pt linkage planters ( one with double disc units on 250mm spacings for "winter crops" which weighs about 5 tonne, the other has double disc units & John Deere Maxemerge vacuum meters on 1 metre spacings for "summer crops" ), an 8 metre single disc planter on 333mm spacings, plus other assorted 8 metre linkage toolbars. All of them, its just a matter of lowering the hitch, reverse up to the implement & pick it up. Simple. The only difficult bit is then connecting any relevant hydraulics, electrics or plumbing . . .
I cant even begin to contemplate trying to use ball ends & hitch pins on those
