I forgot the worming bottle so I had to improvise, lucky I always carry my two stroke drill! And it was good, the bottle fitted in pocket easy!

We use it to drill holes for setting gate crooks, and if we are doing a bit of fencing joinery and the battery drill runs flat the two stroke soon has them in! It's got two speeds and reverse, it's my favourite tool!

Some broken holm web bars were causing the web to come off the rollers taking an hour to sort out each time. I tied a jack handle, random bit of pipe and random bit of bar to the broken bars. It worked. Don't worry, I replaced them all with brand new ones that evening after I knocked off the workers for the night.

And yes, I know they are new zip tiesthey didn't even work, I had to resort to baling twine.

Made up a pipe unroller and fixed it on my fencing machine.

Made it out of old galv handrails and the 40mm box that flat packed 3-1 feeders are packed on.

The old cordless drill had a fall yesterday shattering its battery case!! Luckily I had another battery with dead cells. Managed to swap over the cells from one housing to the other to carry on!!!!

Bachelor farmer spring cleaning? Does that qualify as a bodge? A necessary chore, unfortunately.

No matter how softly I tiptoe into the livingroom to pick up, say, a box of matches from the sideboard, mud inevitably drops off my wellies onto the carpet. What I can't get up with a shovel tends to become engrained.View attachment 510994

So I hit on the idea of pressure washing the carpets, then hanging them out to dry. Works a treat for most but some sand always seems to remain engrained in the pile. Any suggestions? I've been beating it with a big stick today but thinking compressed air might be the answer?

Old BBQ was knackered and just so happened, so was the washing machine..

Sadly, I couldn't salvage the pulley off the back so had to make a new stand out of "off cuts"

I've made 3 for patio heaters - I just use some old bolts to make 3 little feet to keep them off the ground.
