Other one is sump oil.
This one has had a treat today, proper waxoyl. Just what the local motor factors had in.
Defender chassis needs to outlast the Discovery chassis.
First time I've actually done one, threatened many. Well I've started it anyway.
Waxoyl on top of central heating boiler tonight. I hope to lather more on tomorrow.

I recall seeing in the Farmers Weekly many moons ago Silage pushers made from Haybobs with waggon wheels( Not the now shrunken biscuit type :)) where the spinners were.Did they work or bend up or were they all put back to grass tangling duties now 200hp is available to drive them :)

You may well be asking "Dave why have you put a pic of a busted wood burner door up? Glass is fudged?"

Yes my "skills" caused this,

But I draw your attention to two of the nuts I had to improvise with.....:D

Not even the right thread either :joyful:
We treated the good wood burner here to a new door glass a few years ago, which promptly broke on fitting, straight down the middle. The previous glass was lots of strips with a gap between each one, so it is still a vast improvement. The cracked glass just adds character to the room.

There's companies that will cut a piece of heat resistant glass to size for you, lots cheaper than buying the genuine spare parts, and if you have an old out of date stove. I replaced all the strips on my old Efel stove door with one piece that was 520mm x 210mm, cost about £50. They were called Fine Glass Finishers, near Saffron Walden but I think they've gone bust since. But there are others:
