Using 2 is extravagant not tight! One reused tie & some 30 year old baler twine would have sufficed!
Actually I've just put a third one on ( from my extensive stock) at the throwing end, because sometimes a loop of the rope catches your hand when you launch the device. Had to use some NEW electrical tape to cover the sharp end of the tie though (shhh!)

After a week of searching, we recovered tv remote control from behind a large radiator.

Modified it to prevent youngest son repeating the act.View attachment 682864

nah that will be thrown across the lawn as a prototype boomerang. chain it to a breeze block.
When i lived at home i had the sky remote on a long elastic string (stolen from an old coat) taped to the remote and tied to a nail on the beam above the sofa were i sat. It could easily reach anywere in the room but it stopped my bloody sister taking it to her bedroom for her tv and never bringing it back after she lost hers :cautious:
