I’ve not seen or heard of them, I’ll get some on the shopping list. Thanks for the tip
no, their not dear, not in the grand scheme of things in parts today anyways, nord lock were the first to design them, others have copied since, i keep the wurth orsy100 assortment of them here and keep it topped up, they aren't a washer your going to throw at something each time you need a washer (washers in general being a fools game) but they are specifically for a problem like hesstondriver has, these don't loosen, as you say, VERY good.Expensive but VERY good.
ill do my best to keep ye from falling over the edge......No - for this thread you need to make your own with a second hand penny washer and a broken hacksaw blade.
Closer inspection reveals the rope clamps are very shiny?View attachment 787550 Today’s master piece: automatic gate closer
The entire rope assembly including the green bracket is actually the hand brake assembly off a marshal trailer!Closer inspection reveals the rope clamps are very shiny?
Not new I trust?
And no detergent polluting the drainsView attachment 788570 My overalls are officially banned from the washing machine ( apparently I’m the only one in our house who can’t smell diesel ) . So today’s creation consisted of a secondhand length of copper pipe three lifting brackets off a Cummins 6bt engine and a steam cleaner . I think the results were better than the washing machine .
Well I have to admit I did use a bit of tfr but it was left over in a bucket I used when I washed my tractor the other day . Oh and before anyone asked I did use some tech bolts but I will keep an eye on the weather and put them back on the grain store roof if it talks of high winds .And no detergent polluting the drains
(Unless you used detergent through the steam cleaner )
That is engineering alright.
Not sure if this post belongs here but thought it might bring a smile. The boy (8 yrs old) Wanted his own tractor and trailer. His grandad set to work and made him this. Someone gave us the ride on and the trailer is made from all bits lying around the place. He loves it View attachment 790600
