A good example of why the scrap heap is just a temporary holding area for useful things. Rusty, holey, old 8' sheep troughs that pigs have wrecked, given a new lease of life

When these were brand new I was on the sidelines watching them being paraded in front of the bigwigs on Salisbury Plain - big seated grandstand full of important people.......

As one came steaming past the vehicle commander was stood up in his hatch saluting the dignitaries when he realised that he was being overtaken by his own track.

They used to have old Abbot guns before the AS90 and everything was torqued to "FT" with a big bar, the AS90 is made of clever alloys and was issued with a torque wrench. The gun bunnies didn't bother with the torque wrench and tightened the road wheels to "FT" with the big bar........

Luckily the track didn't hit anything - unlike the driver who hit the brakes hard and shot off sideways.
Thats real dads army stuff!!

Wasnt really sure where to put this but I think it fits in here quite well, needed a way if feeding my few goats on the milking stand that was better than climbing up with a feed scoop everytime. Pinched a hopper off an old out of parlour feeder, bit of pipe in the bottom and ripped the guts out of a fencing reel, the idea is the feed drops into the top of the pipe and then I pull a rod and it drops it out of the bottom into a pipe to the trough, old louse powder tin to stop any feed falling in behind the slider! No new materials were harmed in the making of this apart from the seal around the pipe which is actually concrete panel sealant. Ran out of time to test it today but I'm sure it will work in some sort of fashion
