That's when MK1 was put up for sale!Just a minor thought. Have you considered how much bale will be on the yard behind once it's rolled round in that a few times?
Nice. Is there anywhere you can get a big grape like this anymore? Spears and Jackson used to make a proper grape with a thick shaft. New grapes are only 2/3 of the width of 15 yrs agoFork repair again. last repaired around 30 years ago with some reclaimed pipe and welding rod stub ends.
Weld cracked off so another stub end used off the floor to re attach with some bird poop weld, then levelled fork ends off a little with the last worn out cutting disc out off scrap bin.
Should be good for another 30 years now.

Don't keep it to yourself if it works, I've a dead DeWalt here.A bodge in progress, dead makita drills going to become portable lights when the round led lamps arrive.

I like your style, but the Makita LED torches are about £20. How much are the LED lights your using? ?A bodge in progress, dead makita drills going to become portable lights when the round led lamps arrive.

No reason for it not to work. I might have to bypass the trigger switch and just direct wire it.Don't keep it to yourself if it works, I've a dead DeWalt here.

Is it an old 3 speed, the one on the left?£3.
It's just a exercise in recycling. Such a shame to bin the whole thing.
Yes, they both were. Gearboxes seized and burnt out motors. They worked hard.Is it an old 3 speed, the one on the left?
I’ve still got a working 3 speed, bloody good units, suffered with gearbox issues though, as you’ve found out. Shame they don’t do a 3 speed now.Yes, they both were. Gearboxes seized and burnt out motors. They worked hard.
One was mine from 10 years ago, the other I picked up at the scrappy in the summer with this bodge in mind. The smaller round leds should match well and not fall over. I could buy torches at £20 but where's the fun in that?I’ve still got a working 3 speed, bloody good units, suffered with gearbox issues though, as you’ve found out. It's a sprag or ratchet bearing, designed to stop something running the wrong way, we had one fitted to a bag elevator, it could have up to 6 x 10 stone bags on it, if for any reason the elevator was stopped with a load on it would try to run back downwards, this would pick up speed and run the motor above it normal speed, if someone tried restarting the elevator at his point the motor if single phase would now run in the wrong direction, or if three phase would try to go it's correct rotation but not be able to.What's the bearing front and centre?
It only goes round one way.
