We've had this idea for a while, wanted a thistle slasher that would go on the quad that you could tow whilst checking the sheep.

Suzuki LJ rear axle, diff welded
SJ wheels and tyres
33" blade off a lawnmower
Bits of scrap welded together, gate hinges, used towhitch, bit of hayturner linkage.

Works well, also throws sheep sh!t over a surprisingly large distance.

Had a similar contraption. Not a mower a hopper like a snacker trailer feeding potatoes out. As diff went round it knocked on Shute and potatoes fell out .

New forklift for some reason they’ve mounted the number plate along the top of hitch so looking in mirror all you can see is top of the number plate bracket and a little bit of hook 🤷🏻‍♂️ So extended the mirror arm by @7”, can now see the hitch

Also jcb still insist on fitting 7pin plug up on the left hand rear light bracket 🤷🏻‍♂️🙈 fine if turning left but turning right the cable to trailer is too tight and pulls out or snaps 🙄 I did move the socket on old loader but couldn’t be ar5ed to join the wires n make a bracket for socket so just got a 7pin extension lead and fitted that in with some cable ties

They probably did that after I moaned about them mounting it on the PUH and my old man destroying it every month!! 🤣🤣🤣

Your extended mirror arm would last five minutes here. :banghead: :banghead:

Previous drivers plus it's present owner had spacial awareness issues with the straw chopper hood, this year with winter beans to cut I might be doing some chopping so I needed to reshape the hood. It was a lot more controlled to pull it about with the winch in different directions than rely on some heavy handedness from someone on the Manitou plus it was just me doing the bodge, sorry job ;)
