Verging on engineering there Davie.Bought a "project" KV 853 bedder at local collective sale.
Among other things I discoved that the beater had been run with a duff bearing knackering the shaft big time.
Welded up(excuse rough welding), and need to "lathe" back to size, stuck on an old oversize bearing on the raised part, tacked on toView attachment 1005499View attachment 1005500 axle stands, bodged an old spring clamp welded to axle stand to hold grinder while rotating the drum to grind it back.
Not quite a lathe but will do a job. Local engineering places are all shut for weeks, but not sure I'd have spent the money on it anyway.
As long as it keeps the weather out of the shed then I'm happy.
