It’s not a bodge, more of a creation! But didn’t know where else to post, thought it might be useful to others.

Its light enough to pick up if I drain the ibc, but i can put a battery and energiser underneath and run out an insulated lead out cable to the fence.

Remember to let air in the top, or the plastic will collapse! 😃👍

I've now added a bit of string. The string is tied direct to the wheel, a few inches of string roll out before the electric wire starts.
That's a brilliant bodge and imo perfect for this thread but maybe ive hung around here too long
You should be on that TV show where she lurks around the scrap centre looking for tat to repurpose.

And the string, logical bodgers fix there. Must admit did think the barrow must be earthing out on the steel post but perfect as long as the wires fully unwound each time.

But there is the question of how to keep the spooling wire tight?

The lock on the French windows packed up and can’t get one for a couple of weeks, I did have to sacrifice a length of threaded rod by cutting it in half, the boss objected to it sticking out of the door, but I can reuse it, and theres only a small blob of weld on the outside nut.

That looks good enough that you won't need the replacement anyway (y)
