Needed something to keep the timber from hitting the shed sheeting when we extract it next week. Had a pile of baler twine so this is what happened. Blocks were left by the previous owner, I just placed them in tramlines wide enough for the tractor with lifter to pass through.

The angle iron is at least 80 years old and a bit pitted but solid! From an old dutch barn.

I was sick of moving car trailer with a strap or something so bodged this together in winter time. Don’t use it very often but is handy when I do need it.

I put a pice of a cultipress leg on the top of the eye. It’s quite tight if you don’t drop the hitch onto the latch.

The lock on the French windows packed up and can’t get one for a couple of weeks, I did have to sacrifice a length of threaded rod by cutting it in half, the boss objected to it sticking out of the door, but I can reuse it, and theres only a small blob of weld on the outside nut.

I fear it’s gone beyond a bodge now, no sign of the lock so I had to cut a piece of perfectly good 5mm bar for a handle and use a new screw to turn the “lock” so it’s possible to use from the outside

As long as the duct tape wasn't new.

And we need to see the little bleed valve from a scrap radiator that is welded in the other end to let the air out. Otherwise we know it will bloop, and thats not bodging

It was an old roll that had lost most of its stick-ness.. and I opted for pulling the bolt breather bolt out and some old cardboard to catch the spill…
