Just have a small flock of sheep right now, moving them through paddocks with polybraid and reels, so modified a cart to come up with a water/mineral/equipment wagon of sorts that can be pulled by the ATV. Won't work for the winter time but sure is nice for summer time and keeping water fresh and cool~I can pop a 2 ltr bottle of frozen water in the insulated cooler on really hot days. The wagon is rated to 1400 lbs and the sides are removable, so when we need to expand the water reservoir and add another trough, we can just put a wider and longer bed on it to accommodate the expansion.

Right now it holds water, a bucket of minerals, a tote of dog food for the LGDs, stakes, wire reels, and misc. items. Hope to add more as we go along in the way of tool totes and such. The mineral feeder has a rubber flap on top to keep out the rain. We LOVE this water wagon.

I was trying to think of a funny caption for the second picture...... I think you ran the dog over!

Yours is positively scientific compared to my effort. The kids have named it watermatic IMG_4614.JPG

I was assuming that too but wondered whether possibly they were there to alleviate the annoying habit of muck hanging in the corners
youd be bang on the idea of muck not sticking in the corners, its designed to keep the pressure of muck/clay that would be forced tight into the corner off it so its easier to tip it out.
it would add a bit of streinght but not enough to warrant the time and cost for that purpose alone, the former is the main idea.

At risk of exposing myself to TFF ridicule I will show a bodge that I have put together. There is a bit of a story to this. I have been clearing some steep slopes for a neighbour; there was about 40 years neglected growth on it, bracken 6-8 feet high, gorse 8-12 feet high and trees. Much of the initial clearing was done with an Antonio Carraro alpine tractor with a flail. That got rid of a lot of the bracken and gorse. Then came a 15 ton excavator who cleared the trees and did the drainage required and put in a pond.
I then chisel ploughed it by reversing up the slope with duals on and ploughing downhill. Then I hired a 5 tonner and worked over the 8 or so acres with a root rake and had a massive bonfire of all the rubbish.
My neighbour/contractor is prepared to use a 5 metre power harrow on it and then I hope to use his 6 metre Einbock seeded to do the grass seed. Which leaves the problem of rolling it so I spent 6 or 7 hours in the workshop and came up with this.

The only bits I had to buy were the 3 bits of heavy channel; everything else was lying around in the workshop. Oh and 2 bottom link pins.
By my calculation the roller would weigh 2300 kilos full of water but not sure if it will be ok to have that much weight. If the axle sagged a bit it would stop when the tops of the roller drums touched each other so may be ok.

This is one of the slopes.
