Welded a Claas Senator idler pulley onto the adjuster bolt on the mill rollers to make it easier to adjust them. Also welded the end off a Matador drive lever onto the lock nut so now I don't need spanners to keep it milling right..

Finally sent 35 of our cows to the mountains Friday so trim ear tags, check and replace bells etc normally just step in and out dodging the horns but with a gammy back decided time to make a head lifter. Around here theirs plenty of galvanized octagonal tubes used for phone posts  13 inches off the bottom, cut out one of the flats and spread is perfect width for the cow jaw. Took one of our old bale trailer roll bars and quick graft to some tube I'd been saving in the hedge and borrowed an old dog bed for padding. :) Because its on my silage bale grab means it can move in and out from the barrier by wedging one of the arms with wood.

When you do bits and bobs for some farmers in a certain part of the world the workshop is usually miles away plus short on space for jobs like this so you just use what you've got......

Knew I should have put the header on the combine and ran it up to loosen the rust off:(

Saw an old friend on Friday that I hadn't seen for years he stopped outside the house. His van sounded rough as f**k when he stopped to talk turned out it cut out all the time and he had to keep his foot on the accelerator to stop it cutting out and we couldn't really hear each other so he reluctantly turned off the van....
When he had to go he jumped out of the van lifted the bonnet and sprayed sure brand deodorant in the air intake and started the van. He said that works but lynx doesn't and the sure spray is much cheaper than proper easy start 😂 😂 :X3:
The lad is a legend 😎

Had a tractor in the garage recently that wouldn't go and the air intake stank of deodorant.
The farmer must have knew your mate
